Shu is attracted to and dates women throughout the series and when she officially comes out as a girl, her girlfriend Anna states "I guess this means I'm a lesbian.". The protagonist of Wandering Son, Shu, is a transgender girl. However, in the sequel graphic novel The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars, she is shown to be lesbian and gives advice to Korra and Asami about coming out. Kya's sexuality is not mentioned in the animated series The Legend of Korra. In Uncanny X-Men #508 she is shown on panel with another woman. Karma had been hinted to be a lesbian since her first introduction. Kate Kane and Renee Montoya are revealed to be ex-lovers in issue #45. Kate Kane is a lesbian and lives with her girlfriend, Detective Maggie Sawyer, at the start of the series. Despite being set in the 1940s, the setting has no era-appropriate homophobia. The comics series is set in an alternate reality where DC Comics superheroines are depicted as 1940s pin-up style heroes during World War II.

Sachiko Shinozaki (篠崎 サチコ, Shinozaki Sachiko ?), or Shinozaki (篠崎, Shinozaki ?) (1937/1946 - 1953) is a character introduced in CORPSE-PARTY and was the main antagonist of Heavenly Host saga in the Corpse Party series. Naho purposely misspells the actual name of the charm, Spirit in the Everafter, as Sachiko in the Everafter. The reason why Naho purposely left out that you must chant one extra time for Sachiko herself was because Kou Kibiki would have more chances of surviving in Heavenly Host and have more clients for his research.
